Since 2008, dedicated students from nearly all fields at Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg have joined UMD Racing to build impressive race cars. After ten combustion vehicles, we switched to battery-electric cars in 2022. Following our first-place win in Efficiency at Silverstone 2023, we aim to build on that success with our fourth EV, "Bertonomous Prime"—our first car with an autonomous system and accumulator cooling. DV System Highlights Our complete AS software stack runs on a Kria KR260.There we use the integrated Arm Cortex-A53 as main processor unit while the programmable logic is used to accelerate our perception pipeline. With that we manage to achieve extremely high power efficiency

After years as a combustion team, UMD Racing built their first electric car in 2022 and are now building our second: "Edelbert". We're really looking forward to competing at Formula Student UK and Formula Student Germany this summer and representing not only the Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg, but also, as the only team in Saxony-Anhalt, our entire state. The team is highly motivated to pass all technical scrutineering this year and to finish the Endurance with a respectable time.
