Info
UniBo Motorsport, founded in 2009 by a professor and 10 students at the University of Bologna, began with a combustion vehicle. Today, the team has evolved to develop a hybrid vehicle, a full electric motorbike, and an electric vehicle. As the electric SAE team, we launched their first prototype in 2022 and we won our first EV competition last year. This year we are developing our first autonomous driving vehicle — determined to keep innovating and always pursuing new challenges.

DV System Highlights The DV software stack for 2025, based on ROS 2 with C++, emphasizes reliability, speed, structured code, and efficient debugging. Key components include a custom ATX build, a stereocamera, and LiDAR. State estimation and SLAM improve mapping, while MPC optimizes path planning and control. A Unity-based simulator validates algorithms before testing.
