Info
This year the Lions Racing Team proudly presents it's ninth FSAE Competition Vehicle, the LR11. Relying on our proven and fast concept, the car features advanced vehicle dynamics with 4 way adjustable dampers and a sophisticated electronics system consisting of a race ABS, traction control, launch control and data logging. We use a powerful 4-cylinder combustion engine with a dry sump lubrication to achieve a low centre of gravity as well as good reliability. Furthermore we made a steel space frame with hollow nodes to balance low weight and good serviceability. To keep the back wheels in control, the car has a Torsen differential ensuring good traction out of a corner. Traditionally the Continental Formula Student Tire is developed in close cooperation with our team. For this year we focused on warm-up characteristics and carcass construction to make it the fastest Formula Student Tire ever. We hope to achieve a good result and are looking forward to meet you at our pit in Hockheim.

Info
This year on the Hockenheim Racetrack, the Lions Racing Team of the Technical University of Braunschweig will present it's current competition vehicle, the LR10.After facing various difficulties at the beginning of the season - mostly caused by the economy crisis and the Bachelor/Master system being introduced, resulting in fewer sponsors as well as team members - the team decided to improve last year's vehicle in detail, mainly focussing on ergonomics, the engine fuel consumption, steering and the electronics system, which were cause to most trouble in the LR09.Traditionally, the LR10 design is based on a steel spaceframe. The engine configuration as well as the Suspension have not changed much and traction control as well as an ABS system will also be applied. The seat now accomodates tall drivers too and to the electronics system, a datalogging box was added.Despite the young team constellation we are highly motivated and looking forward to seeing the FS community in August.

2009
Info
The Lions Racing Team was the second German team to enter the world of Formula Student and the first team worldwide, with a working Race-ABS. Ever since our first entry in 2002 we have been consequently developing the technical and economic knowledge of the team members. Results of these developments are increasingly innovative and fast cars with a high quality finish. Our new car, the LR09, is once again equipped with an ABS system. The aggressive suspension concept, a very compact and highly sophisticated package and supporting Continental AG for the tyre development, make the LR09 the fastest car built by our team to date. The LR09 and its drivers have been running through well planned and documented test procedures consisting of functional and setup tests to improve both, the vehicle's reliability and speed. Because of the above mentioned reasons we hope to reach a Top 10 position in the FSG 2009 event. If we sparked your interest, feel free to visit us in our pit.
