NoRa X marks the 10th anniversary of our success story. Evolving from last years first Aero, we set our minds to focus on further increasing the downforce of our car. To achieve this, we also made the switch to 10" wheels and a smaller, lighter planetary gearbox to go with it. Using our proven 4WD solution, we focused on further improving our vehicle control software and increasing sensor reliability. Last but not least, NoRa X marks the start of our Driverless journey.

Strohm & Söhne has been dedicated to sustainable motorsports since 2011's Formula Student Electric inception. Our 8th full-electric racecar, merges successful elements from previous generations with new advanced features. For the first time in our team's history, we have successfully introduced a comprehensive aerodynamic setup, enhancing driving performance and looks. Strohm & Söhne is committed to sustainable motorsports since the beginning of Formula Student Electric in 2011. This year we fixed the minor mistakes noticed during the 2021 racing season to build an even more reliable and better performing car while focusing on areas of the car where we could see a lot of performance potential according to the principle: evolution instead of revolution. Never has anything different come into question: since the release of our first car NoRa1 in 2013, Strohm und Söhne e.V. is committed to sustainable motorsport in Formula Student. We proudly present NoRa7, the latest car in our era of electric vehicles and are excited to be part of Formula Student Germany 2021. After starting from scratch last season, we managed to build both – a new car and a new team – and are ready to race TH Nürnberg Georg Simon Ohm to the top ranks.

Strohm+Söhne is the FSE team of Nuernberg(DEU) and was founded in ´11. Our 5th racecare NoRa5 was designed to be a complete change in comparision to the premodel. An aluminium monocoque was constructed to safe weight. The switch of rear-wheel drive to 4 wheel drive allows us to transfer the torque more efficient into acceleration and gives us the possibility to support the driver with torque vectoring. We are also proud of our self-developed electrical devices like the AMS and Smart Sensors.
