Team Description

Info
Founded in 2005, GET racing comes right from the heart of Germany's famous Ruhrgebiet, Dortmund. Located at the TU Dortmund University, students from different courses come together to exceed the possibilities of their otherwise quite theoretical studies by facing the challenges of participating in Formula Student events. After starting from scratch last season to build a reliable foundation for the next years, this year we thoughtfully tweaked our car to tie in with last season's success.

Info
The FS218, nickname “Rüdiger”, is the newest creation from GET racing. It features the same concept as his predecessor but for the design we started from scratch. Our main focus was on reliability but with a self-made ECU, a launch control, a completely new suspension kinematic, new shifter mechanism and many other new bits we certainly think it is fast too.
Engineering Design Priorities:

Info
The GET racing team consists of 30 highly motivated students from different disciplines. The FS216 is the 6th car of the team and the 4th one fitted with the Yamaha R6 4 cylinder engine. The car comes along with some innovative features, like an evolutionary optimised frame. Our bodywork is manufactured from vulcanized fibre, paper honeycomb and bio-based epoxy, so it is sustainable and cost-efficient. We are optimistically looking forward to the great event and want to thank all our sponsors!

Info
The GET racing team, founded in 2005, consists of 15 highly motivated students from different faculties, e.g. mechanical, industrial and electrical engineering. The FS213 is the fifth car for the team and the third one fitted with the Yamaha R6 600cc 4 cylinder engine. The engine was chosen for supreme acceleration and driveablity. Moreover the car comes along with some innovative features, like an evolutionary optimised frame, using our self developed algorithm. Easy adjustable ergonomics or the new developed electronic system are other noteworthy improvements. So we are optimistically looking forward to the Hockenheim event and want to thank all our sponsors for their support.

Info
GET racing is the Formula Student team of Dortmund University of Technology (TU Dortmund). It was founded in 2005, competing with the first car in 2006. Since then, a constant development has happened, leading to some notable achievements: In 2007, the GT07 was the first car to feature an airbox made by rapid prototyping. The FS29 was our first car with an optimized spaceframe, using our own evolutionary algorithm. The current car, the FS210B, features some thorough engineering: The frame has been optimized evolutionarily. The suspension was designed to meet the tyre characteristics precisely. It features double unequal-lenght A-Arms all around and custom built Bilstein Dampers. The engine has modified camshafts, a modified shifting scheme, a slipper clutch for clutchless downshift and a self-designed drysump conversion. Gearbox controller, multifunctional cockpit and datalogger are self-designed and communicate via CAN, allowing clutchless upshift. Live telemetry via WLAN is possible.
