Info
Oxford Brookes Racing was founded in 1999. Since then, the team has gone on to become one of the top UK teams, and widely known to have a consistently competitive car. With 2016 being a frustrating year for OBR with a fast car but no reliability, the team has firstly focused on fixing the issues, before moving on to performance. with this attitude, the team believes that it will be able to regain the title of Top UK team, and prove a force to be reckoned with across the international paddock.

Info
Now in its 16th year Oxford Brookes Racing is stronger than ever and have come into this year with the aim of creating the fastest and most reliable car in OBR's long and successful history. The chassis is still our distinctive folded design, but now in full carbon fibre. We have also made the move to 10" wheels and have added a floor to compliment our wings. We would like to thank all our partners, without whom this wouldn't have been possible.

Info
OBR returns to Formula Student this year with our new car, Isis 13. Buoyed by the success of our strong finishes in 2012, we've attempted to refine the strengths of the car that brought us our first silverware in five years and develop the weaker areas that were discovered at competition. The car itself is very much an 'evolution, not revolution’. This was, in part, to help integrate new members into the project, having bid farewell to many of our most experienced members at graduation last summer. With some guidance from Alumni, we've worked on developing our tried-and-tested chassis to produce our first full Aluminium monocoque. Our development hasn't only been mechanical though. Aerodynamic devices make their first appearance on an Isis car for over 10 years. With our new diffuser we hope to boost overall car performance in Autocross, and the improved drivability paired with more driver seat time sees us aiming for a strong showing out on track.

Oxford Brookes Racing has worked tirelessly to develop and manufacture the evolution of our ISISXI chassis into our new ISISXII "Miss Piggy" for the 2012 Formula Student Germany competition. We have further improved our aluminium sandwich panel chassis, for increased focus on both weight saving for performance, and also reduced manufacturing time for cost. We are actually the only European team that competes in the FSAE competition in Michigan in a new car, showing the impressive manufacturing speed of the simple, yet effective design. At Oxford Brookes Racing we believe that you do not have to rely on expensive and costly materials to be able to produce a fast car, and we proved that with our sixth position overall in Autocross & win in the skid pad event this year at FSAE. Oxford Brookes Racing are therefore aiming to be one of the top contenders at Formula Student Germany this year. For more information join the Oxford Brookes Racing fan page on Facebook.

Info
Oxford Brookes University presents ISIS-XI "Alice" for the 2011 Formula Student Germany competition. We believe performance, reliability, ease of driving, and safety to be key components of a Formula Student car design. As such, we have developed ISIS-XI to meet all of these goals with as few compromises as possible. ISIS-XI features many entirely redesigned components and innovative manufacturing techniques. One such innovation for ISIS-XI is a folded aluminium monocoque with hard-points integrated in a sandwich panel construction. In order to reduce driver fatigue the steering and upright geometry have been tuned to reduce steering effort. The KTM 530 EXC has been selected due to its low mass, smooth torque characteristics, and good fuel economy. Additionally the unsprung mass has been drastically reduced through the use of carbon fibre wheel shells, as well as a redesigned upright and brake package. Info
The Oxford Brookes Racing (OBR) ISIS08 is an entirely different concept from previous cars, with a steel-carbon hybrid chassis and single cylinder engine making it the lightest car ever built by OBR. Extensive tyre development has been carried out with full back-to-back track testing using a FLIR infrared (IR) thermal-imaging camera.OBR’s own in-house lap simulation facility has been used to set all major parameters based on performance indexing. A unique prop shaft arrangement has been employed allowing the engine to be mounted longitudinally. Suspension geometry has been analysed using both Susprog and ADAMS with recent studies conducted on a (K &C) test rig. A KTM 530 510cc single cylinder SI engine is used with an electronic fuel injection (EFI) conversion and exhaust modification. Magneti Marelli electronics system features a student-designed CAN-bus with FMEA (Backup system). Carbon fibre bodywork developed with CATIA V5 provides racing aesthetics.
