Car #41
Info
Our car’s iconic headlight was born out of necessity – in our first season testing was only possible at night. Over time, it became our lucky charm. In 2017, our first year without a headlight, Jenny 9X crashed into a streetlight (YT: FSH 2017 - Fast Forest accident / www.youtube.com/watch?v=LrmygPrUSMg). In 2024, we skipped it again... and crashed during after-season testing. Coincidence? We don’t think so. This year, the headlight is back – just in time for the Night Race at FSG 2025.

Fast Forest represents the Deggendorf Institute of Technology on Formula Student events. With FF07 we revised the design of FF06. The construction contains a CFRP full-monocoque, a new battery and a new damping geometry. With our telemetry system we will be able to check all functions of our car, for example the new VCU, in real time. The new aero-package strikingly increases the vehicle's performance on the track. These and many other changes will make Jenny7e ready to race in Hockenheim!

Info
Fast Forest represents the UAS Deggendorf in all the Formula Student events. Founded in June 2008, our fifth season's team consists of 65 active team members. In 2010 we decided to build an electric car in addition to the combustion car. 2012 we made the choice to focus our full concentration on electric cars only. With FF05e we managed to optimize last year’s design. The construction consists of a monocoque front and a steel tube rear frame by which weight is saved. The power unit consists of two one stage planetary gearboxes and the power is lead to the wheels mounted on a double wishbone suspension with a pull rod-actuated damping system. We want to thank our sponsors for their great cooperation. Furthermore we want to express our gratitude to all the other teams who offered their help after our workshop was flooded. With regard to the great atmosphere and the gathered experience of the last years’ events we are proud to present our new car at the FSG in 2013.

FastForest represents the UAS Deggendorf in Formula Student events. Founded in June 2008, our fourth season's team consists of 45 active team members. 2012 is the first year with the team building an electric Formula Student car only and not a combustion car in addition like the years before. With the FF04e we decided to design a entirely new car. The construction consists of a monocoque front and a steel tube rear frame in order to save weight. In addition, the drivetrain was changed completely. The power unit consists of two independent 32kW asynchronous motors which are controlled by an electronical differential and a two stage planetary gearbox. The power is lead to the wheels mounted on a double wishbone suspension with a pullrod-actuated damping system. With those and many other changes made with the experience over the last seasons FF04e will be even more competitive and ready to race in Hockenheim! Moreover we want to thank our sponsors for the great cooperation.

Fast Forest represents the UAS Deggendorf in formula student events. Founded in June 2008 our third season team consists of 40 active team members from every faculty of our university. As well as last year we build two cars. The combustion car FF03 a optimized version of the FF02 and the FF03e the further development of the FF02e.Especially the electric car has a lot of improvements. At first we reduced the cells from 28 to 23 LiPo flat cells to save weight. They are connected in series so the voltage of the accumulator is 85V nominal. In addition the drivetrain was changed completely. The 30 kW permanent magnet motors are now no longer mechanical coupled. Instead they are controlled by an electrical differential. Moreover we want to thank our sponsors for the great cooperation. You’ll find further information, pictures and videos from the team and our cars on www.fastforest.de!

Fast forest represents the UAS Deggendorf in formula student events. Founded in June 2008 our second season team consists of 30 active team members from every faculty of our university. 2009, when it was announced that there also will be a FSE racing series in Germany, it was immediately clear that there will be two teams and two cars of the Fast Forest team, the FF02 the further development of the FF01 and the FF02e the electrically powered version of the FF02. By means of the close cooperation between the two teams it was feasible to develop a car that can be driven by two completely different drive technologies. The members of the electric team developed an alternative drivetrain which is operated through two mechanically connected permanent magnet motors working with a voltage of 96V. 26 LiPo flat cells provide enough power to generate 2x34kW peak power. You’ll find further informations, pictures and videos from the team and our cars on www.fastforest.de !
