Lund Formula Student is returning to FSG for the third year in a row. 40 students from 10 different programs have been working hard since September to produce our latest car, LFS19. The biggest changes from last year are a more advanced aerodynamics package, front anti-roll bar, electro-pneumatic shifting system, and a 10% overall reduction in weight. We are determined to continue the trend of positive results we have achieved in the past couple of years, and are aiming for a top ten finish.

Presenting the LFS-18, the tenth car from Lund Formula Student. Designed and built by 35 students from 4 different engineering faculties since September 2017. It is a continuation on the concept from LFS-17, with big changes to the suspension, powertrain and aerodynamics. This year we are determined to break our recent streak of negative results, and return to being one of the top European combustion teams. We would like to thank all our sponsors for making the LFS-18 possible!

Lund Formula Student was formed in 2006. This year’s team consists of 30 students from five different engineering faculties and have now built the ninth car in one year. The focus has been on function and reliability. The car, LFS-17, uses an open steel space-frame with a composite body and is powered by a 600 cc Honda engine. The news for this year is the de-dion axel in the rear and a vastly different aero-package, which is tailored specifically for the LFS-17 car.

For the first time ever, Lund University is competing at Hockenheim. LURacing is competing with 30 highly motivated students from several different fields of studies. Backed by calculations and value driven decisions, the team has decided to go for a very lightweight solution with high downforce and high stiffness. These attributes were realized with a single cylinder 450cc engine, carbon fiber monocoque, an effective wing package and 10" wheels.
