Info
The BTU Motorsport e.V. was founded in 2007 and is the Formula Student Team of the Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus. In 2013 to 2014 there was an increase of 45 members from several different departments. We are living the slogan of our University “We are living science”. Together we were able to develop, design and manufacture our fifth car, the BTU-05. Based on the experiences of the last years the BTU-05 is the next step towards reaching the top teams of the Formula Student!

Info
In 2012 the team of BTU Cottbus will participate at the FSG competition for the third time. Founded in 2007, the team now counts about 31 members from several departments of our university. We divided our team in five technical parts the engine, carriage, frame steering and electronic. Furthermore we get a new structure for the economic part of the team. There are some members for the financial- and material sponsoring and for the public relations. We are increasing our quantity of sponsors during the season 2011/2012. Special thanks go to our sponsors and our university workshops for supporting us with our ambitious project. Hard work by all of them, results in a weight reduction by 70kg compared with the first racecar. Reasons for that are the usages of high-tensile steel for the drive shafts or the application of carbon fiberfor the seat. The self-built oil sump is much flatter than the original one and allows us to position the engine lower and with it the center of gravity.

Info
The team of the Technical University of Cottbus is a newcomer in FSG 08. The nonprofit association BTU Motorsport e.V. was founded in spring 2007 and counted 7 members. Until now the team increased to 15 members of different engineering fields, mechanic as well as economic. Our first aim was to gain experience with a reliable and down-to-earth car. Furthermore we wanted to provide a solid basis for future FSG participants of our university. In a four cylinder engine of a Suzuki GSX-R 600 K4 we found the heart of our vehicle. Step by step through construction and design work, knowledge and enthusiasm developed our Gravis08. Now we are anxious to see, how our work proves in the static and dynamic competitions. Last but not least, we would like to thank all our supporters and especially our sponsors for their endless support, without it would not have been possible to produce the first Formula Student Car in Brandenburg.
