Info
The Kaiserslautern Racing Team was founded in 2007.In 2011, we are participating at the events of the Formula SAE with our 4th car, the CarboNyte 2011.This year's car features a full cfrp monocoque with integrated rearframe. As in the previous years, the engine is taken from the Suzuki GSX-R 600 and controlled by a trijekt ECU.The A-Arms are adhesively bonded to the wheel side aluminium socket.Kinematics are simulated with IPG CarMaker. In the drivetrain, a Drexler limited slip differential is used to divide torque appropiately. We have the ability to log spring travel, wheel rotation speed, steering angle and car position (GPS) and to transfer it via GPRS to our server. It is our aim to compete in the events with a car that is simple, reliable and light and has been thoroughly tested in advance. We thank all our sponsors for their great support during this season and are looking forward to a challenging and successful season.

Info
The Kaiserslautern Racing Team was founded in the year 2007 at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. Today, we are working as a cooperation between students of Technical University and University of Applied Sciences Kaiserslautern. In the first year, we competed in the events in Silverstone, Hockenheim and Fiorano and were able to finish endurance in Hockenheim and Fiorano. In our second year, we took part in the events in Hockenheim and Varano de' Melegari, which will also be the events we will take part in this year. This season, we are using a trijekt-ECU in order to get full control over injection and ignition of our engine. Our airbox is CFD-optimized and has no moving mechanical parts. Our suspension is fully adjustable to the specific race conditions and to find the best setup during testing.Instead of a normal Battery, we are using a FeLiPo-accumulator, which provides a high power-density at very low weight. We thank all our sponsors for supporting us!

Info
Carbonyte 09 is the second vehicle of the Kaiserslautern Racing Team to compete in Formula Student Germany. Committed to the idea of light weight construction, a CFRP monocoque was designed and manufactured. A key feature of this frame is the highly ergonomic seat that offers superior comfort and driver safety. The light weight concept is rounded off by the suspension system that utilizes extruded aluminum. In order to boost the car’s performance the intake and exhaust system are CFD optimized. The new electronics concept of Carbonyte 09 includes a self-designed integrated fuse box that offers PWM output as well as digital control of all on-board power electronics. Furthermore, real time data transmission via GSM was realized. Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to all our sponsors and supports that helped us to make our visions come true.

Info
Kaiserslautern Racing Team is a first year competitor in the Formula Student series. The air intake system is based on a full variable air intake length and the use of light weight materials. Also a dry sump lubrication system was integrated to the engine because of it's ability to prevent oil-starvation at high g looads. An electrical water pump was installed to ensure sufficient cooling of the engine. In order to be able to achieve maximum performance and driving comfort a custom data acquisition and driver support system had to be implemented based on a 1Mbps CAN system. Besides the standard vehicle parameters additional information about the current vehicle state have to be gatheredd in order to ensure superior testability of the vehicle. We would like to thank our partners for their trust in our team and their engagement. For further information take a look at www.KaRaT-Racing.de
