Team Description

LA eRacing e.V., the electric racing team of the UAS Landshut was founded in 2010 with the aim to create a practical environment for students of all faculties to apply and develop their theoretical knowledge.
With our new team captains and 100 active members, we are looking forward to the 2025/26 season with curiosity and the certainty that we will also continue to develop our social skills. We feel the duty to evolve our racing cars from season to season, but also to promote the exchange between us members and the fun working together as a core goal of our association.
According to the motto "We electrify you" we strive to inspire each other for new tasks and challenges and to pass on our experiences to following generations of students.
All our efforts and knowledge are manifested in our Hailey EVO, our almost 9th vehicle of the Formula Student Electric series.

We are LA eRacing. The Formula Student Team of University of Applied Sciences Landshut. With our eR25, Hailey, we focused on innovation, reliability, and lightweight construction. Key highlights include a custom-built 24 V LV battery system for our first driverless platform, a 35 % lighter frame, and carbon suspension rods. We also implemented an all-in-one VCU, redesigned aerodynamics, and improved inverter EMC shielding — all based on experience with last year’s vehicle Ginny EVO.

At the 2014 event we take part in the FSE with our third car. This year our first goal was to reduce the weight and increase the reliability of our car. We gained a lot of experience with our first and second car and so we tried to improve the car in all components. Our "eR14" has two permanent excited water cooled synchronous motors. The housing of the motors and the planetary gear box is self-developed.

At the 2011 event we started in the FSE with our first car ever. This year our first goal was to reduce the weight of our car. We gained a lot of experience with our first car and so we try to improve the car in all components. Our "eR12" has two permanent excited water cooled synchronous motors. The housing of the motors and the planetary gear box is self-developed. Each motor has a maximum torque of 60 Nm and continuous power of 12 kW. The accumulator has an overall capacity of 6.0 kWh and a nominal voltage of 530 V. In this car we will use torque vectoring and a racing ABS to improve the handling of the car.

After a trip to Hockenheim in 2010, a little group of studends were influenced of the spirit of Formula Student. They decided to design and build their own electrically-powered racing car for the event in August 2011. LA-eRacing, with their 35 active teammembers from every faculty of our university, was founded in September 2011. It was a very long and exhausting way from the first idea over the concept decision to the final car. In addition to the design und the delineation of the technical features, the financing of the project was also a initial problem. But all odds, we have finally managed to build up a fully functional and hopefully competitive vehicle. Our "eR11" has two permanent excitated watercooled synchronous motors. Each motor has a maximum torque of 95Nm and continuous power of 30kW. The accumulator has an overall capacity of 10,6 kWh and nominal voltage of 345 V.
