We're excited to announce the official release of the Formula Student World Ranking List with its new formula at fs-world.org! Alongside this update, the Driverless Cup (DC) is now part of the Formula Student World Ranking List for the first time, next to the already existing EV and CV classes.
DC Joins the WRL
In its 10th year, Formula Student Driverless receives its own dedicated World Ranking List. With a growing number of events offering the DC class, including FS China, FSAE Michigan and FSAE Australasia (demonstration event) in addition to European competitions, the time has come to recognize this thriving category with its own global ranking.
New Formula Goes Live
The updated formula is now the official standard for the World Ranking List in 2025 and beyond. Thanks to the high-quality feedback from the community during the preview phase, we've incorporated numerous improvements. The new formula is easier to calculate, better represents loosely connected competitions, and includes several other refinements. We've also corrected errors in the underlying data to ensure greater accuracy.
