FSG 2022 will be held from 15th to 21st of August 2022 in Hockenheim.

Have you ever wondered what kind of professional race cars students can design and build in one year? Do you want to experience formula-style cars on a race track? Then pay a visit to Formula Student Germany at the Hockenheimring this summer! 

This August, the 16th edition of Formula Student Germany will be held. A total of 100 teams from more than 34 different countries will be competing against each other in two simultanious competitions. 70 teams will be participating in Formula Student Electric (FSE). Additionally 30 teams will be participating in Formula Student Combustion (FSC). Each team, both FSC and FSE have spent one year designing, building and testing their cars – and in Hockenheim they will present their results to the judges and show off their technical solutions on the race track. Formula Student in the Pandemic

We expect to be able to hold a normal competition with visitors despite the ongoing pandemic. 

We will, of course, comply with the regulations of the authorities. It is quite possible that we will have to ask for the vaccination status of all visitors, etc. So please check our website right before you visit Hockenheim, which requirements will actually apply to visitors. 

Location

Formula Student Germany is held at the paddock of the Hockenheimring. The entrance is near the Motodrom Hotel / Campsite C2 / Grandstand. Information on driving directions and parking can be found here. 

Tickets

Visitors can buy tickets at the entrance at the Ticket Centre. A day ticket costs 10 Euros, the all-week (Wed-Sun) ticket can be purchased for 40 Euros, the weekend (Fri-Sun) ticket costs 25 Euros. 

Cash payment is no longer possible. We now only accept payments with a credit card or EC card, contactless is welcome.

The material will be used solely for the purpose of making the event more open and understandable to the public.

In legal terms: By participating in this event, you (the visitor/participant), have given the right for the organisers to send or receive image or video media of yourself, without either party owing special compensation. The organiser is allowed to release this image or video media themselves or forward it onto a third party to release for use in audio-visual, print and online media.
