FSG 2013 more international than last year

Category: Competition, 2013

The 2013 Formula Student Germany event promises to become the most international edition of FSG to date. On Monday January 14th, a total of 186 teams from 32 countries all round the world attempted to register for Formula Student Germany 2013.

75 teams were successfully registered for the 2013 Formula Student Combustion event with 47 teams on the waiting list. And 40 teams were successfully registered for the 2013 Formula Student Electric event, with another 24 teams on the waiting list.

The registration quizzes for FSG 2013 were a bit more computationally demanding than the quizzes of previous years. Therefore, the shortest time to finish the registration quiz was 4 minutes and 51 seconds. The last team to register successfully required 26 minutes and 13 seconds.

Including the teams on the waiting lists 5 continents are represented. The successfully registered teams are spread over 24 countries and 4 continents. To get a better impression of where the teams come from that registered for FSG 2013 here are a few diagrams.

We are very happy to see that so many overseas teams have registered for FSC 2013, 4 Chinese teams, 8 Indian teams, as well as 1 Egyptian team, 4 Canadian teams and 5 teams from the USA. Likewise we are very pleased to see a Chinese, an Indian and a South-African team to have registered for Formula Student Electric. This clearly shows that FSE follows the trend seen for FSC.

We congratulate all teams that managed to register for Formula Student Germany 2013 and are looking forward to a great event. We wish all teams good luck with their preparations the coming months!

Teams that still wish to be placed on the waiting list can register until February 25th, 2013.
