Formula Student Germany Sponsorship Challenge excites Vips and students alike

Category: General, Competition, 2015

Everybody at FSG watched today when the customized concept vehicles built by sponsors with the help of participating teams competed on the famous Hockenheimring start-finish line.

The sponsors had only four days to conceptualize, build and test an individual and innovative transportation system from an identical basic vehicle (Bobby Car). Todays acceleration put their technical solution to the test. After a driver briefing and thorough tech inspection, all cars lined up on the start-finish line to race.

Hundreds of students and guests of the VIP reception cheered the competing teams. FSG 2015 was particularly happy to welcome Charlie Klein, Vice President Vehicle Engineering, Europe, and Member of the Board of Adam Opel AG, Prof. Dr. Peter Gutzmer, Deputy CEO and Chief Executive Officer (CTO) of Schaeffler and Oliver Jung, Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Schaeffler.

In the Formula Student Germany 2015 Sponsor Challenge (FSGS) event sponsors have to design, construct and race a customized vehicle. The basic vehicle was provided by FSG. FSGS has its own rules: everything is allowed, particularly help from teams and third parties is very welcome. Use of explosives require scrutineering and of course a scrutineering order.
