On 11th of January, 25 teams registered to take part in the first Formula Student Electric (FSE) event, taking place in August 2010 on the Hockenheimring. With teams from 9 different nations Formula Student Electric is a truly international event.

As this new and unprecedented event is a premiere for all of us, we have limited the possible number of participating teams to 12. As a result, 13 teams are currently placed on the waiting list.

We are extremely happy for FSE to generate this much interest and enthusiasm worldwide. In order to honor the great effort of all engaged teams, the FSG Executive Committee is now considering possible ways to allow a larger number of teams to participate. Be assured that we will try our best,  but will have to  respect undeniably limiting factors such as safety, time schedule and space on the event site.

During the coming weeks, the FSG Executive Committee will roughly evaluate with each FSE team the maturity level of their concepts in order to determine their realistic need for a starting grid.

This evaluation will take some time and therefore we would like to ask all teams to keep up their work and to be patient untill we have investigated the complete situation by mid of February.
