Bosch Engineering GmbH awards “FSE Best Power System Design”

As development partner, Bosch Engineering offers the adaption of electronic systems with approved, large-scale series technology for small series development. As full Bosch subsidiary, we focus on cross-domain and inter-systematic developments.

Since 1999, our development and calibration experts support customers around the world from concept development to the release for series production. Our range of services includes the development of systems, functions and software as well as the distribution of system solutions for motorsports applications.
Even beyond the automotive sector our aim is to provide innovative solutions and ensure maximum customer benefit. Therefore know–how from luxury vehicles, studies and special editions of series vehicles is being transferred to related domains like commercial vehicles, construction and agricultural machineries, as well as powersports and railway applications.

How to apply:
The Bosch Engineering “Best Power System Design” award is open to all teams participating in Formula Student Electric. Your team can apply for the award by submitting an abstract (max. 2 pages including all figures), which elaborates on the main features of your power system concept. The abstract should be a pdf file.

Convince four experts of Bosch Engineering that you have the “Best Power System Design”!

Teams competing for the Bosch Engineering “Best Power System Design” award will be judged based on a presentation and individual questions regarding the following topics:

  • Electric Powertrain
  • Energy Storage
  • Traction Network
  • Energy Management
  • Communication & Controls

Qualifying based on your pre-submitted application will take place in advance of the competition. The finalists will be published at the Bosch Engineering Forum on Thursday, July 31st 2014. All nominated teams will get the chance to present their power system in the Special Award Judging Pit located in the FSG Forum on August 1st 2014. Each team will be allocated a 30-minute time slot for their individual presentation. At least 10 minutes should be reserved for questions. Please upload your application for the award via the FSE website (=> MyTeam => Events => Deadline) by July 11th 2014 12:00 CEST latest.
