At 8th of November, 354 students from 53 teams from Austria, Germany, Hungary, Japan, the Netherlands, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland attended the 4h FSG-Workshop held at BMW in Munich. FSG-Officials, industry experts and experienced FS-students gave lectures on rule changes, technical subjects and important issues on static events.

The workshop was an ideal add-on for active FS-teams with project and competition relevant information. And as usual the workshop also was a platform for the participants to get into contact with other teams and profit from their knowledge. The University of Stuttgart displayed its current car during the whole day as a good example of FS-engineering. The FSG 2008 winner Technical University of Delft reported about its formula for success.

During the afternoon, a round table discussion with the FSG Board and the team captains was very well received and furthered the mutual understanding of organisers on the one side, students on the other. In addition to a general feedback and suggestions of improvement for the event 2009 by the students, the Board explained some of the restrictions they confront in organising the event.

A special thanks goes to BMW Group for hosting the workshop in the BMW Research and Innovation Center (FIZ) in Munich with perfect equipment and organisation.

The sheets and videos of all speeches will be provided soon on the FSG website.
