Welcome to the Team of FSG Volunteers!
On 12 August 2024, the Hockenheim-Ring will once again open its gates for our 18th Formula Student Germany competition. In order to create an unforgettable time for everyone once again we need your support!
It takes around 450 volunteers to bring Formula Student Germany to life every year. The team of volunteer’s functions like a well-oiled machine, tackling the ever-growing challenges of the annual event with skill and passionate dedication.
The volunteers are divided into different groups according to their skill set. We are still looking for volunteers in the following areas.
Event Control (Red Shirts)
You’ll be answering important questions of teams, sponsors, judges and other volunteers. Furthermore, you’ll support the teams registration & Ticket Center.
In this position you should be happy to communicate with different people and motivated to learn new skills.
Event Support (Red Shirts)
Your job will be to help to build the whole infrastructure of the event.
Join the track marshal team during the dynamic events.
In this position you should be happy to communicate with different people and motivated to learn new skills.
Culina (Red Shirts)
450 volunteers must be fed – you’ll be helping to prepare delicious food so that all the volunteers stay happy and healthy.
Technical Inspection (Scrutineers)
If you are an engineering enthusiast this is the team for you. This is your opportunity to become a Technical Inspector and experience all the fascinating technical details from the forefront. You’ll be responsible for a fair and safe competition.
Media Team (Photographers & Videographers)
With your skills you’ll be responsible to capture the moments and allow us to relive the funniest and most exciting moments over and over again.

IT/TK Experts
You’ll support the timekeeping team in the set up of the timekeeping infrastructure and monitor the activities throughout the race.
With your knowledge you make sure to enable internet access to all participants with the help of our own Wifi infrastructure.
